saneTV comes to Dreamwidth

Dreamwidth is a diversity-friendly creativity-loving blogging community built on an open-source platform (like Livejournal, DeadJournal etc.) and currently in beta.

Dreamwidth describes the service: “Dreamwidth is an online home for creative people of all types. We’re part social network, part blogging system, and part content management system — and our site is designed to be easy to use even if you don’t know what any of those things are.

“You can share what you do easily on Dreamwidth, whether it’s writing, artwork, essays, photography, poetry, or your life and dreams. You can also find others who create the kinds of things you enjoy.”

What will Dreamwidth usersaneTV be doing on Dreamwidth?

  • 1) This is where select fan-fictions, vids and other fannish creativity, made buy our contributors, will live and grow. Older work will be archived there and given an airing with a new audience.

  • 2) saneTV will follow and support related fans and communities. Supporting fans in their efforts to thrive as creative artists is important to us, and Dreamwidth has just made it that much easier.
  • 3) We don’t know yet. We just got there. We need to stretch out and put our bare toes in the sand.

In fact, one fiction work-in-progress has already been posted! More will follow as time and creativity allows.

What you won’t see us doing with Dreamwidth usersaneTV on Dreamwidth: posting news, sales, products, or any business posts. That will continue to be posted right here at saneTVworld.com.

If you already have a Dreamwidth account, please feel free to friend saneTV. You can also log in to Dreamwidth with your OpenID and follow us there, and some of your other friends, that way. Dreamwidth userrydra_wong has written an excellent explanation of how to use OpenID for those who don’t know what it is or how to use it.

Just so you all know, Dreamwidth usersaneTV currently does not have any more invite codes. If and when Dreamwidth releases a new batch, we will invite a few more people in. If you really can’t wait, ask around fandom, and you are sure to find some. Paid accounts, basic, and premium, are currently available. Read more about those here.
